One Really Yummy Hamburger

So I've been so busy! Flipping through my camera and gmail I keep coming across pictures of food I need to post!

Like this one:

Chipotle Corn burger from the June 2010 Food Network Magazine, is a simple burger with a lot of flavor and a bit of a spicy kick. I loved it! It was a bit different from the ole' hamburger recipe. I loved the roasted corn and bell pepper relish. I thought the chipotle mayo was a bit spicy at first but that can be fixed by not adding as much chipotle peppers. The flaky bun was perfect to use for this recipe.

Check out this recipe sometime...

26. Grilled Lightly mix 6 ounces ground beef chuck with a big pinch of kosher salt. Form into a ball, then shape into a 3/4-inch-thick patty; make an indentation in the center. Preheat a grill to high; brush the grates and burger with canola oil. Season the patty with salt and grill about 4 minutes per side. Serve on a grilled bun.

31. Chipotle Make Grilled Burger (No. 26). Add 2 slices jack cheese in the last minute of cooking (cover to melt). Mix 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon minced chipotles in adobo and a splash of lemon juice. Serve the burger on a roll with chipotle mayonnaise and avocado.

32. Chipotle Corn Toss corn kernels and sliced bell pepper with lemon juice, olive oil and salt. Make Grilled Burger (No. 26), but sprinkle with ground cumin before cooking. Serve on a crusty bun with chipotle mayonnaise (No. 31), the corn salsa, onion, tomato and cilantro.

My Burning Kitchen

Today Matt and I went and ventured out downtown San Diego to Comic-Con 2010.
It was so much fun!

Before I went down there my Best Friend Morgan had told me to be on the lookout for a fellow blogger, that had mentioned on her blog that she too would be at Comic-con at her husbands booth.

After searching through the crowds I found her! I introduced myself to Darlene and her husband, trying not to sound like a weird stalker haha I told her how I came across her blog and mentioned I'd link it... as I did... but have now, posted as well.

If you have a minute please go and check out her blog, My Burning Kitchen.

San Diego County Fair

There is nothing like some greased out food from the food vendors at the county fair. But if you want to try to devour all the crazy items offered, be sure to bring along some family or friends to help share! Also, you may want to pack some tums.
The "Butter" Family - made with Land O' Lakes Butter

From deep fried Oreo's to turkey legs the fair has tons to offer, but don't forget the corn dog!
My handsome little first cousin, once removed, in law!
hahahaha

The Heart Attack Cafe does not hold back when it comes to greasy goodness! Chocolate covered bacon and deep fried butter are just a few items on their menu. If your looking for a cheesy bread try the Cheesy Dippers served with a marinara sauce.

But my favorite is the roasted corn! I love mine with butter and salt. Matt likes his with mayo, parmesan cheese, and hot sauce. How do you like roasted corn?
