Twilight Escape With Mushroom Ravioli

This past weekend I was very fortunate to be able to visit Washington, on a escape to 'Twilight land', in Seattle, Forks and Port Angele's. If you have read the books then you would know about Bella & Edwards "first date" to Bella Italia, Port Angele's. On their outing Bella enjoys the Mushroom Ravioli. So on our trip of course we would all order the Mushroom Ravioli.

Everything about this dish was amazing. From the raviolis to the cream sauce they swam in. The mixed mushrooms, parsley and lemon zest on top made the dish all more perfect.

Coming home, I've been looking for this recipe online, with no luck. But I plan to recreate the sauce, look for it in a future post. And If your ever in Port Angele's, be sure to check out Bella Italia - It was really great!

I know I'll be going back for more.

National Pancake Day UK

National Pancake Day was today in England!

I love pancakes especially with toppings.

My favorite combination is Pancakes topped with bananas, whipped cream and syrup.

Pancake Recipe

Ingredients

* 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

* 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

* 1 teaspoon salt

* 1 tablespoon white sugar

* 1 1/4 cups milk

* 1 egg

* 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.

2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
